Disney World--Joel's Adventure

Joel had a little adventure of his own one night. In the middle of the night he ended up outside our room...barefoot and without his Magic Band (room key). He pounded on the door, but we were all zonked out. He called the front desk from the phone in the hall but had to hang up on them when nature called (we think he went through the wrong door when he got up to go to the bathroom). He ran to the lobby across the resort and got in line at the front desk. He told them the wrong room number, but at least he was able to tell them his name. Poor guy was confused and crying! He sat and watched some cartoons while he waited for them to give him a key card, and he let himself back in without waking us up. He was telling Kari the story this morning, and Kari said, “Are you sure that wasn’t a dream?” and then he whipped out the key card. I laughed about it all morning, the kind of laugh that makes tears come to your eyes. The fact that he just let us sleep and didn't wake us up when he came back in just cracked me up. I felt sorry and sad for him when he said he had been upset and scared, but oh, my goodness, it's a funny story!
