Summer days

I finally got a chance to relax in the hammock one afternoon, and it was lovely. I watched the hummingbirds zoom back and forth over me, with a light breeze rustling through the trees.

We took a hike one Saturday with the Wilsons along the Salmon river. Soaking up the last bits of summer.

20th Anniversary

How has it been 20 years since this day?? I am so thankful for this man and the life God has given us. 2020 has been a rough one, and we tested the “in sickness and in health” part a bit these last few months, but we’re getting through it together (very much together...all the time 😂). I hope to have many, many more years to live out all those vows we made 20 years ago. ❤️

We had the kids spend a night at their grandparents, and we had a night to ourselves. We enjoyed dinner outside on the deck of the Riverview and had a great, relaxing time together. And, of course, shared our letters with each other.

Passport 2 Purity: Aubrey edition

I took Aubrey to Long Beach, WA for one night so we could go through the Passport 2 Purity material. We had a great time away and had some good, important conversations. Aubrey is lots of fun. :-)

I gifted her the necklace my parents gave me when I was about her age. I put a new paper with Proverbs 4:23 in it (mine had faded away and was illegible), and she's been wearing it often.

Grant's Baptism

Loved watching Grant get baptized at the Knoll's after church. So thankful he is choosing, at a young age, to follow Jesus and wants to share that publicly.

Silverwood

This trip was a year in the making...and one of the only things that didn't get canceled by COVID! We were so thankful we were able to still go and spend this time with our friends. We stopped in and walked the Whitworth campus, Eric and Leah and John and Kelly's old stomping grounds, while we were passing through Spokane.

We had dinner together in Coure d'Alene that first night at an old English pub, which was fun. Each of the next two days we started out in the water park and then made our way to the roller coaster side in the afternoon. It was just SO MUCH FUN. And it was refreshing to be in Idaho where people are not so worried about COVID. The park had limited capacity, but there were quite a few people there on the weekend day.

We had breakfast at a really cool restaurant on the way home. We ate yummy Danish breakfast foods and had a feast before driving back home.
