Disney World Day 3--Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios--I loved the details in Toy Story Land and the giant Ticonderoga pencils. My love for Ticonderoga runs deep. :-) The Slinky-Dog coaster was fantastic. It was the ride we had to wait for the longest--60 minutes. Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and the Indiana Jones Stunt show were the other favorites of the day. I learned my lesson from Animal Kingdom and did not join the rest of the family on the second Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ride of the day. They all loved getting to ride it again, though!

It was hotter than hot that day. Almost every day it got hotter than the forecast predicted. Several days it was over 100 degrees and once you added in the humidity factor, the app said it "felt like" 105, one day, 112 degrees another, and another 118 degrees. Way too hot for us Oregonians!

There didn't seem to be as much to do in this park, compared to the others. This is likely why Star Wars Land is opening there later this summer. That'll make it much more popular! The drive-in theater where we ate lunch in a car was pretty cool, though. Kari took a turn having a bad attitude just before lunch but got happier after we got some food in her. We took a break from the heat at our hotel for the afternoon and went back in the evening. I wish we would have stayed for the Star Wars fireworks show, but the rest of the family was done and wanting to go home. We had just waited for 1/2 hour to get our ice cream order (the workers were very confused and kept botching everyone's orders), and we were not in the best mental space.  Greg and I got our one vacation "fight" out of the way that night. :-) Smooth sailing after that! ;-)
