Joel was especially excited to get to have a tennis season. It was his first high school sport, and he's been looking forward to it for so long, having taken lessons and going to tennis camps and academies. His hard work paid off, and he ended up playing doubles on varsity--exciting as a freshman! His partner was Jake Stump, so we got to see the Stumps and Alcorns quite a bit, which was fun. Joel loves tennis and already can't wait for next year.

| Eric and Leah gave Joel these headbands for his birthday. They had a blue theme for "game day" and red for "practice day," knowing red is Joel's favorite color. He rocked those headbands. :-) |
