Piano

I cried through the piano recital this year, knowing it was our last one--definitely Kari's last and likely Aubrey's last, as well, as she'll be playing three sports in high school next year and won't have time. They were mostly happy tears. Kari's "How Great Art Thou Art" got me! I had tears streaming down my face.

Both girls played beautifully, and it was a joy to listen to them. Kari's teacher, Katie, gave her flowers and a special recognition, as she had earned her third gold cup at junior festival, and it was her last year of lessons. It was so sweet to see their emotional interaction. We had brought flowers for Kari to give to Katie, too, so they exchanged. :) Katie is just the most amazing teacher and person. We have been blessed to have her in our girls' lives. I'm going to miss listening to all that piano music in our home. Hopefully, both girls will continue to play for fun.
