Joel was able to go on the NOE mission trip this year, and he had a wonderful experience. The goal of the trip was to form relationships with the students at the NOE center, and Joel was in his element. He loved it. He had a special connection with a little girl at the orphanage they visited. She attached herself to Joel, following him around, painting his face, and just enjoying his company. On Sunday morning, he was surprised when he was at church and felt a little hand grab his. He looked down, and it was the same little girl. They had brought some of the kids from the orphanage to church, and she had found Joel! So sweet!
