Kari had a great last tennis season, and it was fun to watch her. She smiled and laughed a lot, and she and her partner played well all season at first doubles. Their team won the district tournament, and Kari and Sophie qualified for state! Grandparents were able to go watch the district meet and sent updates, as I wasn't able to go (work really gets in the way of these things!). Greg and I both took the day off to go to the first day of the state tournament, though, and we got to watch both Kari and Joel play. We divided and conquered all season, as the girls and boys usually play at the same time against the same school in different locations (home and away). Kari and Sophie's first match-up was a tough team who ended up 2nd (?) in the tournament. The girls played hard, and we were proud of them.
