Joel Tennis

Joel loves tennis. He's pretty good at it, too, which makes it pretty fun for all of us. He had a great season and had a lot of fun with his teammates and coaches. The district tournament was exciting, and they played well.  He and his partner, Jake, made it to state, too, along with two other teammates, Hudson and Hayden. His partner struggled with his emotions and lost control at the end of their first match (they lost), which was extremely difficult to watch. Joel handled it really well and with grace, but it was very disappointing to see that kind of display of poor sportsmanship from his teammate. Jake apologized to all involved, but it was a difficult situation and sad. They had had such a good season, and it was a bummer to end on that note. Joel has two more years of high school tennis, though, and he was able to put that incident behind him and look forward. He's going to be doing tennis camps and lessons this summer and is excited about the next season already.
