Aubrey's grad party was so much fun. I was very excited about the fake tattoos of Aubrey's face. We kept it as a surprise. I gave some to people in advance and then texted her friends about it, so they would come in with the tattoos on. We set up a station on our front porch. Joel put one on his face, and her reaction was priceless! Loved it!
She requested "huli huli" chicken, which we ordered from a local restaurant, and my dad labored over the pulled pork for sandwiches. Kari made the soft sugar cookies, and we did a lot of frosting between those and the cupcakes. Note to self: next time do less time-intensive desserts. The food all turned out out amazing. The weather cooperated, and people were able to be outside in our backyard, which was great, as there were more than 100 people who came to celebrate Aubrey. This party was the motivation to get our yard reworked last summer and the reason for making it pretty with the flowers, trellises, and furniture. Now we get to enjoy it the rest of the summer!
