Spoke too soon

Swim lessons 1 and 2--great! Lesson 3--horrendous. Joel cried and cried and wouldn't go in. He finally entered the pool, after much coaxing, for the last 10 minutes of the 30 minute session. May lesson 4 be a more pleasant experience for all.

Hey Andrea! Colby did that last year (age 3 at the time). He did the first swim lesson without a hitch. Infact LOVED it. Then the next day and the next day was awful. Something the swim instructor said totally set him off. She told him I was leaving to sit up with the parents but what he heard was that I was just LEAVING. I really wish I would have just stuck with him and made him sit and watch the lessons even if he didn't participate. When soccer started this season he refused to play. Now he cheerfully plays with gum, major soccer treat. Wow sorry such a long post and full of unwanted advice eh?! Take care!

you win some, you lose some. I've been there too. Probably MY hardest part of that battle is fighting the ANGER that rises up in me: "Just GET IN THE POOL!! GrrrrRRRR!!"
