The Arnold beach trip started June 20th, which was only two weeks after Greg's surgery. We decided to send the kids with Grandma on Wednesday, the 22nd (I met her in Hillboro to make the transfer), and then Greg and I came later on Friday night, just for two nights. They had a great time, and Greg was happy to get to spend some time at the beach, too, even though he was more limited in what he could do. The house they rented this year was right on the beach, which was so nice! The kids could just go out and play in the sand or take a walk whenever they wanted.
