Kari's Sweet 16th Birthday

Sweet 16 was truly sweet for Kari. Grandma A. took her to the DMV after school on her birthday (Tuesday) to get her photo taken to get her license. She drove to two of her friends' houses (both very close to home) and then drove herself to Starbucks before coming home to have dinner with us all. My heart felt like it was going to beat right out of my chest as I watched her drive away on her own for the first time. Yikes. She made it back safely. :-)

She celebrated with her friends on Friday night with a sleepover, then breakfast at Sweet Betty's Bistro (by themselves), and finished up by getting their nails done. Kari has wonderful friends. They had a lot of fun together, and it was fun for us to host them. Kari was a happy birthday girl.
