All the rain and cool weather this spring delayed strawberry season this year. We didn't pick until July! Worked out well for me, though, because when we'd normally pick, the week after school got out, I was taking a week-long online class to prepare for the AP class I'll be teaching next fall. Love Oregon strawberries! Strawberry shortcake, angel food cake, strawberry spinach salad, and lots of just plain strawberry eating. Yum. I went once by myself, and then I convinced Aubrey and Grant to join me the second time with the incentive of Bushue's signature strawberry-lemonade slushie.
