Late that same afternoon, we made an impromptu decision to leave for Sisters a day early. A storm was expected on the mountain, and we wanted to avoid a snowy drive, if we could. We quickly packed up and got on the road by 5pm. We stopped in ZigZag for dinner on the way. The kids were so excited to be going sooner. We're not usually spontaneous people. It was fun to surprise them!
