Tree Fetching

When we went out the day after Thanksgiving to find our Christmas tree, we did not have immediate success. The tree farm we've gone to the last couple years was closed, as were the others we've gone to before. We drove around for about a half hour (with Blake driving in his truck behind us), trying to find a tree, and just when we were getting very discouraged and frustrated, we saw a sign that ended up leading us to a great place. The day was beautiful and cold. The kids spotted the tree they wanted from afar. We looked a bunch of other trees but ended up with the "perfect-o," as they called it. It really is a beautiful tree, especially for only $20! This place even had a guy waiting, chainsaw in hand, to saw our chosen tree down for us. The kids ran back to our van through the trees while Blake and I drove back through in the truck. We were so happy we didn't have to go home empty-handed.
