Summer Activities

I scheduled activities for the first two weeks of the kids' summer, partly to give us a little structure but also because it was the only time that worked to do them. Aubrey and Grant took swim lessons at the Barlow High School pool, the same time that Joel attended the Barlow boys basketball camp. It worked out pretty well! Kari went with us once or twice, but most of those mornings she stayed home and got her piano practice time in. Aubrey and Grant both passed their levels and enjoyed swimming. Aubrey even jumped off the high dive. We now have four independent swimmers! Yahoo!

Joel and Kari both did tennis academy this year--group lessons twice a week for five weeks and matches on Saturdays. They really enjoyed it and improved a lot over those five weeks. I'm hoping they stick with tennis. It's such a great sport.

The kids on their last day of tennis practice. Joel was wearing the t-shirt he got from basketball camp. He said I could use this photo to show both tennis and basketball--a two-for-one. :)

It was a HOT but fun last morning of tennis!
