Another Full Weekend

Kari’s home for the summer! Year two at CBU was a success! As soon as we got home from the airport, she jumped right in and assisted my dad with installing a new water heater for us. (Thank you, Dad! You're the best.) Why do things go wrong when husbands are out of town?? I also discovered a bird trying to nest in our microwave vent this weekend. After I struggled to figure out how to work the ladder, duct tape was my temporary solution until Greg can get to it (and no, the bird was not inside there. I took the debris out.)

I was the only one home for a night, which never happens. Greg was with Joel at the Caldera tennis tournament in Bend. Grant was also in Bend with Grandpa and Grandma Moffat for a water polo tournament, and Aubrey was gone for the weekend in Roseburg with her team for a tennis tournament. I stayed home to pick up Kari from the airport and ended up having more excitement than I wanted with the water heater going out and a bird taking up residence in our vent.

Joel and Camden had an amazing tournament, with Joel playing some of the best tennis of his life. Their team ended up winning the whole thing!

Aubrey had a great time with her team in Roseburg, and Grant did well in his tournament, as well.

Full Weekend

Full weekend! Grant has a water polo tournament, so our busy weekend began Friday evening with a game for him. Yesterday I tried to do everything.

I made it early to Fuchsia Saturday at FM to get my flowers planted and came back and cut Joel’s hair and ironed his shirt for prom before heading to Costco for a big shopping trip. I unloaded all of that and made it to Grant’s next polo game (a goose landed in the pool and relieved himself in it, too!), then left from there to go watch my niece’s dance competition. Drove straight from there to where Joel was doing prom pictures (missed the first little bit of that), and then came home to get ready for chaperoning prom in Portland. The dance was great, and kids had fun! (I’ll post more prom pictures once I get some from Joel.) More water polo games later today. I’ll probably be wanting a nap later, but I love weekends full of fun kid things.
