Joel and I experienced a DMV birthday miracle. We got in and out with his license in 11 minutes! We had an appointment, but usually doesn't mean much in terms of time. This time it did! The waiting room was full of people, and I thought, "Great. We're going to be here forever," but then a few minutes after we sat down, they called his name. It was amazing. Having already taken his driving test through driver's ed, all he needed was some paperwork, payment, and a photo. Done! We went to Firehouse Subs to celebrate before I took him back to school.
Always a fan of a party, Joel had a big birthday party with lots of food and friends. He has a great circle of friends, and they're fun to have around.
