Kari taught Grant to ride a bike on the 4th of July. Yes, his big sister taught him. We tried to get him to ride his bike without training wheels this spring and early summer, but he was having none of it. He hated it and was terrified of falling. We gave up but did insist on him riding the trail-a-bike since we were going to be going on longer bike rides in Sunriver. He didn't love that either but fruit snack bribery worked and got him comfortable riding behind Greg.
We went on a short family bike ride the morning of the fourth, and Kari convinced Grant to practice with her that afternoon. After a couple of hours outside, Kari came running in, saying, "Grant can do it! Come watch!" And sure enough, he was riding on his own! Amazing.
