Grant Track

Grant tried track and field for the first time this year. He ran the 800 and 1500 and tried out shotput and discus. He was pretty cute out there. He made progress and showed improvement throughout the season. Some of the meets were SO long and so wet and cold--just miserable. The last couple were sunny and warm, though. He had lots of family cheering him on, and he enjoyed the social aspect, as well. Middle school track is definitely a unique experience. :-)

Joel State Band

Band and tennis kept Joel awfully busy this spring. He, Sam, and Anna were in an ensemble, and then the whole band went to state, which was held down at OSU. Greg, Grant, and I went down for the day to listen to them play. Joel was supposed to be taking it easy with his injured shoulder, so there were parts that he didn't play. Trombone is not the ideal instrument for when you have an shoulder injury. :)

AP Lang Test

The big test day arrived, and I was ready for it with yogurt parfaits, bagels, muffins, milk, chocolate milk, and juice for breakfast beforehand. I am proud of the work I did with these students in my first year teaching AP Lang. There is a steep learning curve, and I did my very best to help students learn what they needed to in order to do well on the test. They've been pretty gracious with me, too, as I've stumbled a bit along the way. It's a great group of kids.

Aubrey tennis

Aubrey had a great JV tennis season. She had a few different partners for doubles and ended the season playing a match with Abby. Looking forward to next season already!
