AP Lang

71%--That's the percentage of my students who earned 3's or better, which earns them college credit. This is the best my students have ever done. College Board recalibrated the test, which was much needed, and now the scores more accurately represent what students would earn in a college class. I'm very happy for these kids. However, I also know how hard it is for the students who log in to their accounts and see 1's or 2's. I posted this on Instagram this morning, feeling for those students who are disappointed and comparing scores with all their friends.

Thinking of all my AP Lang students on this AP test result day and hoping they remember what I told them before they took their tests in May. You are more than a test score. One test on one day does NOT define you! To my kids and all their friends: celebrate your friends’ successes and be kind on this day, knowing some are disappointed and feeling sad. If you got a 3 or better, I am so happy for you! And if you did not, remember you did learn things, and you have a bright future, no matter your score on this one test! It’s gonna be ok! ♥️
