Grant got to have a couple lessons with Farhad, the tennis pro who comes to Portland once a year. We drove to a couple different tennis courts to get those lessons in. One of them was at Grant park, which I had never been to, and I finally got to see the Ramona Quimby statue. The famous children's author, Beverly Cleary, lived in Portland and the setting for the Ramona books is said to have been based on that neighborhood in NE Portland. I enjoyed wander the park and the neighborhood during Grant's lesson.
