It was that time again, time to have a family day of fall fun! ;-) The forecast was looking bleak when we looked the night before. It had been raining for days, and thunderstorms, high winds, and pouring rain were predicted for Friday. However, when we woke up, we saw sunbursts and blue sky between the clouds! We hurried out the door and enjoyed a wonderful morning together. It was sunny, breezy, and warm. The kids all ended up shedding their rain coats. We were thankful we had everyone wear their boots, though, as we tromped through the mucky mud. We let the kids go ahead of us in the maze this year. They wanted to go alone, but we said no and just followed leisurely along behind them. Aubrey got left behind once or twice, so it was a good thing we hadn't let them go alone. They completed the Dead-End challenge, ate their caramel corn prize, and picked out little pumpkins for their rooms. Joel opted for a ginormous apple instead, saying he'd much rather get something he could eat than just look at. He is ravenous these days, so we were happy to oblige.
The hay in our photo spot was soaking wet, hence the awkward crouching pose by Greg and I and me sitting on his knee in the next one. He sacrificed his jeans for the photo. :)
