We drove towards the mountain with some friends on New Year's Day, in hopes of finding a place to play in the snow, preferably without crowds and without having to put chains on our vehicles. This place fit the bill. With the Wilson's leading the way, we drove up to the bridge over the White Salmon River and found a spot. We built a slightly dangerous sledding run between trees and rocks and another one down a short, steep bank, and the kids went sledding. :) Andy brought a smouldering fire back to life, and we were able to enjoy the heat of a fire, which was so nice, because it sure was COLD!
