First band concert

Kari started playing the clarinet this fall in the 6th grade band at school. She's gone from making goose honking sounds to actually playing music! She already knew how to read music, thanks to piano, so she's caught on quickly. This last week was her first band concert (and likely the first of many band concerts we will be attending). We were impressed with how much the 6th graders have learned in just a few months, and we were also impressed by the talents and skills of the 8th grade band. Those couple years of practice make a big difference!

Kari is not fond of dressing up (prefers comfy althetic clothes and a ponytail), so it was a stretch for her to wear a dress and to wear her hair down. She looked so pretty!
