Spring Break

We stayed home for spring break this year, and it was wonderful. After my surgery and all that surrounded that, it was nice to just be able to relax for a week-- catch up on a few things around the house, read books, see friends, and just do nothing. Joel spent the week with friends down in Arizona and had a blast. The boys drove Cole's parents' car down to their Arizona house, played in the pool, went to a water park, played tennis, and toured GCU. That "discovery trip" to GCU paid for their airfare home. :-) 

Kari @CBU

Kari stayed down at school for spring break (hers and ours don't line up) and went to Hudson's roommate's house (Zack's) again for Easter this year. His family is so sweet to host them all. Zack's mom sent us photos of their time, which I so appreciated! Love getting to see what she's up to (BeReal is great for that). Kari has had a really good year at CBU. She has done a bunch of fun things with friends and even joined a rec soccer team, and photos indicate she loved it. I'm so thankful she is there and that she has settled into her other "home."

Aubrey's a driver!

Aubrey finally finished driver's ed (took longer because of delays due to the ice storms) and got her license over spring break. Her first solo drive was to Dairy Queen where she met Leah C., who also had just gotten her license. Independence is so much fun!

I thought that it would get easier with each kid, but it turns out, it doesn't. I still felt just as panicked when Aubrey drove away as I did with Kari and Joel. Lord, please keep her safe!
