Joel, Jett, and Hayden planned a school grounds clean-up event for their NHS project, with the help of Jett's mom, Lynette. With the help of community members and students, we filled about 20 big garbage bags with trash. Barlow was looking good that afternoon!

End of an era
Just had Joel's last basketball event, the awards night. His team made the playoffs and made it to the Chiles Center before they lost. Joel had an unfortunate ankle injury when playing volleyball that last week of the basketball season, so he was on crutches for those last games. After playing a ton his sophomore and junior year, he went into his senior year knowing he would be in more of a supporting role with not a lot of playing time. It wasn't always easy being in that position, but he had a great attitude throughout the season, enjoyed the time with his basketball buddies, and he ended up receiving the "Most Inspirational" team award. Super proud of this young man of ours!

Swim Team Debut
Aubrey did a great job in her first season of swim team. This is a new sport for our family. She decided she was done with basketball. We're learning the ways of the swimming world. Aubrey did breast stroke, freestyle, relays, and butterfly. Breast stroke was probably her favorite. It was fun to watch her!

Time for some new glasses
Forty-five really is my year to fall apart. My eyes are failing me now. I was trying to watch Joel's basketball game on the TV on NFHS and grade papers at the same time, and this was my solution. Time for some progressive lenses, it seems.
