Silverwood

 This trip was a year in the making...and one of the only things that didn't get canceled by COVID! We were so thankful we were able to still go and spend this time with our friends. We stopped in and walked the Whitworth campus, Eric and Leah and John and Kelly's old stomping grounds, while we were passing through Spokane. 

We had dinner together in Coure d'Alene that first night at an old English pub, which was fun. Each of the next two days we started out in the water park and then made our way to the roller coaster side in the afternoon. It was just SO MUCH FUN. And it was refreshing to be in Idaho where people are not so worried about COVID. The park had limited capacity, but there were quite a few people there on the weekend day. 

We had breakfast at a really cool restaurant on the way home. We ate yummy Danish breakfast foods and had a feast before driving back home. 

Sisters visit

We took an impromptu visit to Sisters the first weekend of August. Ryan had some time off, and Greg wanted to go somewhere. So, we packed up and spent the weekend with them. We went to the pool (and ate french fries from the cafe), went to a lake, floated a river, took walks, and ate good food. We had happy kids. They love their cousins!

Grant's 10th Birthday

 Seriously, how is he TEN?!

FB Post--August 4th.Our youngest is in double digits today! Grant was up bright and early this morning and started his birthday by snuggling with his mother 🥰 and then reading in his hammock. Sure do love this kid!

We celebrated with a BBQ feast with family at the pool on the Sunday before his birthday. On his actual birthday (a Tuesday) we invited his friend Ethan (and his mom and brothers) over to swim in the afternoon. That was what he wanted, so that's what we did! 

New Desk

 Part of Grant's birthday present was a new desk for his room. He needed a space for school work since online learning was looking more and more like the plan for the fall. I filled all the pin and nail holes and repainted the wall, and then Grant and Greg worked on the desk from IKEA together.
