Great day watching Aubrey and Alaina WIN the JV tennis tournament! The weather was perfect, and they played so well.

Kari home from CBU
Greg took a day off work to fly down and help get Kari packed up, get her stuff in a storage unit, and to bring her back home. She had a great year and said that she was just "finally feeling comfortable when it was time to go back home." Glad to have her with us for the next several months!

Prom
Prom weekend was very full. Joel and Greg went to Roseburg for a tennis tournament and got back just in time for Joel to go to the dance. There was a miscommunication with his date, though, and he ended up dateless for dinner. Lorelai came over from Sisters to go to the dance with Ty, and while we were all at Grant's polo tournament that day, she worked it out for she, Ty, and Joel to grab dinner before heading to the dance. They all had a great time at prom. I chaperoned and loved getting to see the kids all dressed up and having fun.

Kari's Easter
While it was strange and kind of sad to not have Kari with us for Easter, it was reassuring to know that she was with friends and having a great time with them and Zack's family. His parents made it such a fun long weekend. We are grateful to them for hosting.

Easter
Schedule conflicts necessitated two egg-dying sessions instead of one. Easter felt strange without Kari with us. It was the first real holiday without her. We celebrated Jesus' death and resurrection and enjoyed church and time together.

Bari Sax for Grant
Just before spring break, Grant tried out for the baritone saxophone in the 6th grade band, and while we were on vacation, he found out he got it! So now he has a bari sax at home to practice on and one at school to play and doesn't have to lug a saxophone on and off the bus everyday. He is so excited!

Hyster-Yale
Twenty years ago today Greg started working at NACCO Materials Handling Group (now Hyster-Yale) as a young mechanical engineer, fresh out of college. It’s been a great job and career for him, and I’m so proud of his hard work, his commitment to doing quality work, and his commitment to us, his family. He does a great job of balancing work and home life. I loved reading the things his coworkers wrote for him on this “anniversary.” The Maui Jims were his 20 year “thank you” gift from the company. 😎😄 Thanks for working hard for us, Greg!
