Had a bit of snow (not enough to cancel school, sadly), a Joel band concert, school holiday cheer, a White Christmas viewing with the fam, a Christmas party with friends (we were to dress up as countries--Pates won the night in their Sweden IKEA get-up), an after-Christmas party (Joel likes his parties!), some puzzling, a power outage, and some Moffat family Christmas time before our New Years Eve game night at the Pate's.
We had a white Christmas Eve but no white Christmas. Grant played the innkeeper in the Christmas program at church this year. He loved sweeping people's feet up the aisle on his way to the stage, and he did a great job hamming it up in his role.
Grandma's short-term memory continues to get worse, but she still knows me when I visit. It's easier to have someone else with you when you visit Grandma to help carry conversation. She's can't remember anything from 20 minutes ago, 2 minutes ago, or even 20 seconds sometimes, but she's still good-natured and funny. Mom went through a box of old photos and brought them over on this visit. There were some baby and childhood photos of Grandma and her siblings and a book Mom put together of other family photos. She enjoyed them all so much, especially her baby photo. She couldn't get over how fat she was as a baby. :)
Joel and Aubrey both went to Snowball this year with groups of friends and both had a great time. I chaperoned the dance and loved seeing all the kids dressed up. Ashlynn and Lorelai drove over from Sisters and went to the dance with Jake and Ty, so they got in on the fun. I loved the cousin picture they got at the dance.
