Halloween

It was a wet, wet night for trick-or-treating, the wettest one we can remember since our kids have been going.  I didn't get many good photos because of the rain, but at least it got documented. The kids' costumes were extra special this year because Grandma M. made them all! Kari was "Thing 1" (Cousin Maggie was "Thing 2"). Joel was a magician, complete with a rabbit in his hat. Aubrey was Princess Leia with sock buns in her hair. Grant was "The Cat in the Hat." When he heard Kari and Maggie were going to be Things 1&2, he decided he wanted to be the cat. :) Sam was a viking, and Miles was Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.

They got to wear their costumes at the Harvest Party we had after church last week, and Amy kindly shared the photos she took.

Pumpkin Carving

We stepped it up a notch and did something besides the basic face shapes this year. It required more parental involvement, but our lit pumpkins are more impressive than any other year. Kari used the drill for her polka dot pumpkin--the only one that did not require parental assistance. :)

Grant Action

Grant's team provided pure entertainment for all of us spectators. They are just so little, cute, and energetic. Grant loved playing with his friends.

This first photo was one of my favorites from the season. I wish I knew what Reagan was saying to the boys. It's just so cute!

Kari Action

Kari's team had a rough season this year. Most of them are on the younger end of the age bracket, which hasn't mattered a lot over the years, until this year. Middle school growth varies so much. Most of the girls they played were bigger and stronger, lots bigger in many cases!  Kari looked tiny out there, but she's fast and a smart player and was able to hold her own. She played very well and gave it her all each game. We're proud of her!

Joel Action

Joel's had a good season, too. I feel like his team learned a lot this season. They were fun to watch!

Aubrey Action

Soccer is about the social time for Aubrey (and a little about having cute hairstyles). She learned a lot and improved her soccer skills, though, too. It's been a great season for her on Coach Woodard's team.

Soccer X4

Four different teams this year has made for a very full schedule. We only have a week and a half left of the season now. All four kids are enjoying their seasons. We've had between 4 and 6 games each Saturday, so that's pretty much all we've been doing on Saturdays! It's intense, but it's been a lot of fun, too.

Liepold Farm

Another great family morning together at Liepold farm this year. It's one of my favorite traditions, and I'm glad the kids still want to do it. Sweet memories.
